My name is Pete Davis and I'm proud to serve on the Wakefield School Committee. Running for School Committee was not part of my plans, but that changed when a friend reached out and asked if I would be willing to serve. After that conversation, I felt an obligation to answer the call for help.
I am forever grateful for the genuine care and life-changing support the Wakefield Public Schools provided to my children. I am honored to show my appreciation and invest into the schools the same way they invested in my children.
You have my commitment that I will be well prepared for meetings and will be an informed advocate and leader for Wakefield Public Schools, families, faculty, and the town.
I want the Wakefield Public Schools to be places where all students feel welcomed, accepted, appreciated, supported and challenged.
It's this type of learning environment that best prepares all students for college, trade school, the military, the workforce, or any alternate path they choose to follow after graduation.
I want to ensure that WPS recruits and retains top teachers and district administrative and support staff.
In order to provide the best learning environment for students, we need to make sure that we have a rewarding work environment for staff with supportive leadership and colleagues, competitive salaries and benefits, and exceptional professional development.
I believe that building maintenance is critical. It is important that as we invest in new schools, we also focus on sustained maintenance so we can get as much out of these resources as possible.
